This busy Chintz plate was made by the “Myott & Son Co., England, Bermuda. The pattern is very busy with large flowers and leaves. The colors are most unusual due to the primary colors being dark browns, rose, light browns with highlights of yellow and vibrant greens.
The history of the Myott factory is very interesting, but somewhat sad, in that the factory burned down in 1949 and all the records & patterns were destroyed in the fire.
The piece is 8” round.
