Japanese Brass Match Safe – Full Figured Lady
This brass hinged match safe has a lovely Japanese lady in full attire including her veil on one side, while the reverse side depicts a bird perched on a cherry blossom branch – a sure sign that spring is in the air.
The match striker is on the bottom. It has a back hinge & closes nicely with all sides aligning properly. It would be a wonderful addition to any match safe collection.
This unusual match safe is 2 ¾” high X 1” wide. The piece has a wonderful patina, with some denting on the back side and top, and some minor discoloration on the hinge.
