Offered is an exquisite silver plated Victorian cake/bride's basket. the basket has a scalloped border measuring 13x 9 1/2" and 9" tall with the handle up. Beautiful ornate footed applied base. the handle has a gorgeous grape, leaf and vine motif. The bottom of the interior of the basket has an
Acanthus leaf design surrounding a plain oval area perfect for engraving with initials or a monogram. Minor dings on end of basket commensurate with age. This was where the handle would have fallen. The handle is firm and no play in it so that it will not fall. Beautiful patina, absolutely no plate wear which is remarkable for age. C:1890
