English Mappin & Webb Compote Dated 1943

Offered is a gorgeous silver plated Mappin & Webb 9" x 3 1/4" compote. The field of the compote has an engraved floral circle. It would be lovely to put an engraved monogram inside the circle. The sides have 3 /4" piercings all around.There is a banded border.The bas is graduated. On the bottom is the following info: Mappin & Webb, London and Sheffield. Date mark "A" for 1943, w25443, Mappin's Canada, EPNS CA. 795. Lovely condition. Perfect for the table or filled with hand towels in the powder room.
