Georg Jensen Sterling Sugar Shovel in "Acorn" Pattern

Offered is a sterling sugar shovel by Georg Jensen in the "Acorn" pattern. The mark on the back is from 1945 to the present. It also reads Sterling, Denmark. The piece measures 4 1/8" long and the shovel part is 1 3/4" long x 1 1/4" wide. I have seen this item referred to as a tea caddy spoon but I think the proper name is a sugar shovel. The tea caddy spoon has a more rounded bowl, not squared off like this piece. George Jensen was one of the most influential designers of modern silver. He opened his first tiny shop in Copenhagen in 1904.Twenty five years later he has a staff of 250. There are now Jensen branches all over the world. The "Acorn" pattern was patented in 1915. perfect item for the Jensen collector.
