Wallace Tea Set And Tray "Le Reine" And "Lady Astor"

Offered is a three pc silverplated tea set by Wallace in the pattern, "Le Reine" C:1921. I think this was discontinued in 1996. It is in excellent condition with no silver loss. The pot measures 10" tall and 9" from handle to spout. The handle has an acanthus leaf design on the top. The feet are embellished with floral design and a heavily surrounded cartouche. The spout also has an acanthus leaf at the top. The border of each piece is embellished with scrolls and flowers. A lovely finial sits atop the pot and sugar top. The sugar measures 6" tall and 6" from handle to handle. The creamer measures 4" tall and 4 1/2" from spout to handle. The bottom of each piece has the Wallace hallmark, Wallace, 1100. The 18" tray is also by Wallace in the pattern, "Lady Astor". Discontinued in 1925. It compliments the set very well. The tray is oval and has a hand engraved "S" on the border. The border has acanthus leaves and a flower in between the leaves. Each end has an applied scrolled cartouche on it. The field of the tray is plain. Light scratches as one would expect due to age and use but it certainly doesn't detract from the beauty of the tray. The back reads: Lady Astor, Wallace, EPNS, N6690, 18". This set and tray would be a lovely addition to any breakfast nook or table. Perfect size to serve two. Very nice weight.
