Offered is a set of 6 bread plates in the pattern, "Torquay" by Mottahedeh. The plates measure 7" . The pattern was taken from an 1820 pattern created by the Swanese potters of Torquay, the seaside town in the UK. The design of seashells and sea grasses is done in cobalt blue with a matte gold rim. Mottahedeh discontinued this pattern in 2001. The back reads: Design reproduced from transfer printed earthenware, Staffordshire England Circa 1820, TORQUAY, Mottahedeh, England, Winterthur Reproduction.
