English Warming Plate Possibly Spode C:1880
I LOVE this piece!! It is a copper warming plate with an ironstone plate on top. It measures 10 1/4" wide, There are two handles where it would have been hung when not in use. There is spout where the top screws off to fill with hot water. I purchased this in the UK at Newark Antique Fair. The bottom is marked copper. I don't know who made the plate.It looks a lot like Spode to me. This a such an interesting piece. It looks pretty on a plate stand or hanging.
