Antique Copper Delft Handle Lion Fireplace COAL Scuttle Planter
Scuttle is in very good used condition; no large dents or cracks. There are a few minor dings; you can tell by the pictures that there is not any noticeable damage to this item. I am sure this scuttle would polish up beautifully, but I didn't want to do that in case the purchaser wanted it this way. Scuttle measures about 25" tall to top of handle and 21" to top without handle. Scuttle has two delft handles; both of which are in excellent condition (as seen in picture). Top handle moves easily back and forth. The scuttle has a round copper base. Scuttle has ornate lion head fasteners on the moving delft handle, which are the only part of the scuttle that isn't copper. The lion head fasteners appear to be brass or bronze. I don't really know the age of the scuttle, but would guess it to be around 100 years old. This scuttle is beautiful and very unique; it could be decorative or used as a planter.
