Victorian 14kt Gold & Tracery Hanging Earrings
A beautiful pair of Victorian (ca1880) era 14kt gold earrings! These earrings are fairly long in size and highly detailed in both texture and tracery and have a 3 dimensional effect. They begin with a 14kt yellow gold ball that attaches to the front of the wire and connects to an open gold ring. Hanging from either side of the gold ring is a small hand engraved gold diamond shape with a convex sphere dangling from each. In the center of the ring is a 14kt gold graduated triangle shape, open on the sides and covered in hand engraving. Black tracery detail embellishes the center of the triangle in a floral pattern. Connected to the bottom of the triangle are 4 more hand engraved diamond shapes, with convex spheres dangling from each. Although the earrings are not marked anywhere, we have tested them with acid and they test to be 14kt gold. These stunning earrings are easy to wear, and light in weight. A must have for the Victorian collector!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 2" long and are approximately 1/2" at their widest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold, wires or tracery.
