Fabulous Art Deco Rosenthal Figurine "Indian Dancer"

This beauty is in pristine condition, including her very delicate fingertips. No flaws or blemishes anywhere. She couldn't be better!

"Indian Dancer" was designed by Boess, a renowned Rosenthal artist, in 1916. She was produced in 1929 and is signed and dated by the artist on the top of the base near her left knee. This figurines is model number 437 and measures 13.5 cm in height and 14 cm in length, or 5 1/4" x 5 1/2".

Her hair, face and waist medallion are meticulously painted with browns blues and gold. Her face is exquisite. The rest of her body is flesh tone, the draped cloth is blue, but both are so subtle and pale that she almost appears white. Her fingers and thumbs are splayed open and how they managed to remain unbroken after all this time is a mystery.

She is a beautiful girl!
