1950's Lucite Brooch and Earring Set with Yellow Roses

This is a charming set from the 1950's. Each pieces is clear formed lucite surrounding a delicate yellow rose with a single green leaf on a black background. The clear lucite actually appears golden from picking up the yellow tones of the flowers. I have now idea what the roses or leaves are made from.

The brooch measures just under 1 1/2" in diameter and is suspended by a silver tone bow with the pin clasp on the back. The bow clasp is actually screwed into the lucite and is in good working order.

The earrings are screw backs which have been applied directly to the back of the lucite. They measure 7/8" in diameter. Though they are a set, one earring has a slightly larger black backing square than the other. I've had these for years and never noticed it before. It doesn't bother me but it can be noticeable if you look closely.
