Condition: happily, this piece was expertly sealed with varnish, which has prevented corrosion or wear to the plating. This varnish is now slightly worn in places, especially on the bowl, but I have left it intact as it has not discolored, nor is peeling. Please do not mistake the varnish edges for plate wear, as there is NO wear to the plating. This can be cleaned off with very hot water and careful, scratch free scrubbing, or removed with acetone, but I would leave it. There is a a short, wide, wiggly scratch on the flare of the bowl as shown, from contact with something being stack upon and then wiggled, during storage at some point, It is not a distraction, but it is there and shown. Handle is excellent and works as it should, but there is a split in the metal at the bottom of one of the flares, shown. This does not affect use, and you need to be looking for it to spot it, but again, present and shown.
