1843 Oil on Board Two Young Sisters Whippet Dog with Provenance
This painting has it all! Full body portrait of two beautiful young sisters posing with their beloved dog in a lovely setting. Full provenance of a handwritten note on back of board. The note reads something like "Painted by Pelkune in 1843. The two___ ___Dashwoods. Received by ____ ____ in November 1886." See photo of note. Painting measures 12.5" wide by 10.5" high. Frame measures 16.25" by 14". Painting has been newly framed to compliment the piece as the original frame was too damaged to repair. There has been a tiny spot of professional inpainting on the forehead of the dark haired girl. Don't miss this treasure!
