French Tole Handpainted Cachepot
Vintage French tole cachepot with handpainted decoration and lion's paw feet. Lovely French yellow (almost mustard) with gold highlights. Has all the charm you would expect in a tole piece from the early to mid 20th century. Cachepot stands 11" tall by 4.75" wide and deep. Some chipping of paint and the side seams are beginning to slightly separate (see photo) which is very characteristic of tole this age. This is not noticeable on the outside and does not compromise the structure of the piece. Marked "Made in France". Wonderful piece to add a French flair to your decor.
