Antique Bohemian Mercury Glass Candlestick

Antique Bohemian mercury or silvered glass candlestick. The candlestick is blown glass that is double walled and silvered between the layers with a solution containing silver nitrate. It is decorated with a pulverized quartz crystal applied in a grape and leaf pattern. The candle cup has a bright gold washed interior. The original seal to the pontil is visible. Candlestick measures 9.75" high and is in excellent antique condition. Dates to 1870-1890. I love to group these with sterling and silverplate pieces.
