French Marseille Faience Book Box Signed VP

A charming French faience tin glazed box in the shape of a stack of small books. Beautifully handpainted decoration on the lid with an enchanting pastoral scene. Maker mark to base intertwined VP used by Veuve Perrin. I believe it to be a late 19th century-early 20th century Marseille faience piece. Box measures approximately 4.5" long by 2" high by 3" deep. In very good condition.
