Carl Thieme Dresden 9 1/2" Cabinet Plate

Antique German porcelain large 9 1/2" cabinet plate by Carl Thieme. Alternating handpainted panels of courting scenes and floral bouquets. Gold gilt handpainted trim along the rim and panels. Lovely florals painted on a background of magenta. Marked on the base with the Carl Thieme mark and incised Meissen mark. Carl Thieme operated a painting studio in Potschappel near Dresden from 1876-1895. The skillful paint execution and wonderful condition make this a very desirable piece.

Size: 9 1/2" diameter x 1 1/2" high

Condition: excellent with no chips, cracks, hairlines and no paint loss
