Two 19th century carved Italian plaster cameos housed in a lovely gilt wood frame. A very handsome piece which would be stunning hung or placed on an easel. These plaster pieces were souvenirs for wealthy European travelers on the Grand Tour in the 1800's. The larger cameo is a Roman bust which measures 2" tall by 1.75" wide. A full length carving of a classical woman measures 1.5" tall by 1". They are numbered #9 and #28 which is typical of these pieces. Both are mounted on a soft green velvet and framed in a contemporary frame which compliments the pieces beautifully. Frame measures 9.5" by 7.5". A wonderful accessory to give a continental flair to your décor!
