The profile portrait is expertly done by this talented artist known for his animal paintings. Born in Bordeaux,France, he was a pupil of Gustave Moreau, Fernand Corom, and Francois Flameng at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Early in his career, Vincent-Anglade became a fashionable portrait painter. As a regular at greyhound and horse races and an enthusiast of big game hunting, he was also valued as an animal painter. The painting is 11.5" wide by 13.5" tall. The frame is 18.75" wide by 20.25" tall. Newly matted and framed which compliments the painting nicely.
