Victorian Gold Garnet & Seed Pearl Memorial Pendant
Fabulous Victorian memorial pendant with deep red garnets and seed pearls set in a 14K gold setting. Substantial piece measuring 1 5/8" long by 1 5/16" wide. Finely woven hair under the original beveled glass or crystal. Pendant is embellished with 3 rows of seed pearls alternating with 2 rows of garnets. The piece was modified at some point when it was changed from a pin to a pendant. The woman's name Dianatha Fitch is engraved on the back. No marks but tested as 14K. Shown with a wire choker which is not included. This would look magnificent as an enhancer on a string of pearls ( an easy job for a jeweler to do). A very special piece.
