Lovely Meissen platter with four finely painted reserve panels, two of flowers and foliage on a french blue ground and two with scenes of figures after Watteau. Gilt scalloped edge and decoration dividing the platter into panels. Intricate and expertly done hand painting. Crossed swords mark in underglaze blue with two strikes through the mark denoting 2nd choice porcelain. Impressed numbers 129 and 3. Circa 1860-1924. Platter measures 16.25" by 11.25" by 2". In excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or hairlines. Rare to find platters of this size.
