Marble Relief Plaque 'The Infant Academy' after E.W. Wyon Sculpture

Charming marble composite plaques housed in a beautiful ornate wood and gesso frame. The plaque showing three children is based on the 18th century painting by Sir Joshua Reynolds titled 'The Infant Academy'. The relief plaque is after a sculpture done by the famous sculptor E.W. Wyon (1811-1885). The aperture of the plaque is 6.75" diameter. The frame measures 12" square. On the back in the center of the plaque is a medallion done in relief. I also have listed a companion piece after a Wyon sculpture. This would be fabulous in a little girl's room or in a French inspired room.
