Early to mid 1800's antique portrait miniature of a beautiful lady. Housed in a round brass frame with faux pearl accents around the border, the portrait is done in a garden setting. The fashionably dressed young woman is holding a rose in her hand as she gazes into the distance. The painting is a mere 1.75" in diameter, and exhibits the skill of a very talented artist. Unfortunately, it is unsigned. The back of the frame contains a glass insert which has a couple of old stickers---one with the name Warren. The glass on the front of the portrait is beveled and gives off a "ring effect" around the portrait when photographed. This is not on the painting---just a reflection of the beveled glass. Both the frame and painting are in excellent antique condition. The frame measures 2.5" in diameter. It has a ring for hanging. Truly a fabulous miniature!
