This cast iron road roller was made by Kenton Toys. It is red with gold letters and nickel plated silver wheels. The driver is molded only on the right side. The roller in the front is wood. The rake in the back pivots. On the inside it is marked "Kenton Toys" and at the end "Kenton, Ohio". This road roller is 2-3/4" wide x 6-3/4" long x 3-1/2" tall. Apparently this piece was made in the 1930s and then reintroduced by Kenton in the 1950s in their attempt to boost business.
This toy was played with. The red paint has a bit of wear on the wooden roller. There is some wear to the paint in spots. The wheels show wear but I actually believe these were made this way.
