Pair of Bisque Butterfly Children with 'Snow' Japan Figures
This pair of sweet butterfly children or fairies? were made in Japan. They are considered snowbabies because they are wearing "snow" covered suits. They both have a matt finish, the snow outfits that are glazed, and the wings that are glazed. The wings have metallic gold detail. They both have an ink stamp on the bottom that is best read on the standing figure - "Pat. 16977 - Made in - Japan." The colors are pastel. The standing baby is wearing a light blue suit. This figure is 3-3/8" tall x 2" wide x 1-3/8" deep. The sitting baby is 2-1/2" tall x 2" wide x 2-3/8" deep.
These figures were used. There is some slight wear to the snow. There are some age spots.
