C.D. Kenny Co. was a large grocery company based out of Baltimore. They started sometime in the 1800s. In 1942 the owner purchased Sprague Warner of Chicago. They were Then Sprague Warner-Kenny. In 1946 they became Consolidated Foods. Now they are Sara Lee and still going!!
This piece was a premium from the C.D. Kenny Co. It is a small cache pot of an Indian maiden in a canoe. The base of the piece is flow blue to represent the water. The canoe is white. The Indian maiden is brown. The piece measures 3-1/4" wide x 2-3/4" tall x 1-3/8" deep.
It is impressed on the back "C.D. Kenny Co. - Austria". There is a geometric design on the canoe. The headdress points are not glazed - dripped down when drying. There may be a nick on the end of the canoe, but I could not see it with a loop!! Nice early C.D. Kenny and premium piece!!
