Town Crier Flour Celluloid and Tin Match Box Cover

This piece advertises Town Crier Flour. It measures 2-3/8" tall x 1-1/2" wide x 7/8" deep. It is pale yellow with red, blue and black detail on celluloid. The tin is on the inside of the piece.

It is marked "Town Crier Flour" on the front and the back. I showed the back upside down - that is how it looks when you turn it directly over. The end, or the "spine", states "The Midland Flour Milling Co. - Kansas City" and on the edge it states "S&S or B&B St. Paul U.S.A. and S&S Ont.". The strike edge of the match box would face out. This piece would help protect the match box while it was in your pocket.

Overall it is in nice condition. There are no breaks in the celluloid. The design is fine. There are scratches from use. The tin is aged - and has a small bit of rust on the inside. Nice advertising piece!!
