Fine c1900 Hand Painted Miniature Portrait on Ivory with Gilt Frame
Presented is a turn of the 20th century, miniature on ivory portrait. This piece is American, English or French in origin and was made between 1880 and 1920. The portrait is finely hand painted and is of a mustachioed man. The simple frame is gilt, perhaps on silver, and has a loop for hanging the piece.
The portrait is signed MN.
This piece is in fabulous overall condition. The painting on ivory is undamaged, with no breaks and no repairs. The frame has some minor wear to the gilding but has no damages or repairs.
The piece measures 2 3/8 by 3 inches.
