Turn of the Century Chinese Carved Ivory Hand Figurine Holder

Presented is a completely hand carved ivory stand or holder made in China during the mid to late 1800s or early 1900s. This piece is in the form of a hand holding up a small, decorative holder or bowl. This little figurine was once attached by the bottom of the hand to a larger piece and may have had a lid at one point, but it works well on its own. You can use this piece as a candle holder or just as an interesting decorative carving. The hand is very realistically carved and the pretty little dish the hand is holding is decorated with detailed flowers, leaves and ruffles.

This piece is in fabulous overall condition. There are natural age lines, which is to be expected on a piece of this age. There are no chips, no breaks and no repairs.

The piece measures 2 5/8 inches tall.
