Amazing Indo-Persian Moorish Taj Mahal Indoor Painting
The quality of the painting is stupendous with incredible detail in the flowers and gilt decoration on each of the columns and arches. Our photographs really don't show the fine details on the columns, especially the columns in the foreground. There is a great deal of really sharp detail in the flowers and gilt decoration on the columns that the photos do not capture. This is because our photographer forgot to take a detailed photograph before sealing the piece back up. This painting is undoubtedly a Grand Tour souvenir. It was made from the 1880s to 1910. It could be anywhere from Moorish, to Persian, to Indian, although it is most likely from India.
The condition is excellent. The detail in the painting is all very sharp and crisp. There are no chips, no cracks, no losses, no breaks, and no repairs.
The framed painting measures 6 1/2 inches by 8 1/2 inches. The ivory itself measures of 3 3/4 by 5 1/4 inches.
