Vintage Oriental Jar, Underglaze Blue Decoration
Beautiful Oriental jar, probably Japanese, based on the mark on the base which has been partially covered up with a heavy black marker. The jar may only be vintage but the heavy crazing of the glaze suggests a much older piece. The jar is in good condition with no chips or cracks, only the crazing. The underglaze blue decoration combines a variety of patterns including geometrics and florals. The jar stands approx. 12" tall and is about 11" in diameter.
