Double-marked Limoges dinner plates with a bird and floral pattern probably dating to the 1920s or 30s and featuring wide bands of turquoise to set off the central image of two birds with elongated tail feathers nesting on branches with multi-hued flowers. The floral pattern is also repeated on the border. The rim is gold accented as is each of the bands encircling the plate. Size of this plate is 10.25" and condition is excellent. One mark on the back is dark green and is the Charles Ahrenfeldt mark with France above and Depose below. The other mark is the Ovington retail mark. Ovington's was located in New York and Chicago, and Ahrenfeldt made the pattern exclusively for Ovington's.
