Inlaid Wood Veneer Box, String Inlay, Dolphin Motif, Birds, Floral Flourishes

Lovely vintage inlaid wood box with multiple design elements on a fancy lid with dark and light veneers alternating to produce a dramatic center design. The border appears somewhat geometric with alternating, diagonally set, tiny strips of wood The box is small, about the size of a large deck of cards and is in good condition. The dimensions are: 4.5" long, 3" wide, 1 1/8" high. The interior has appears to have a single coat of shellac to the wood making it nicely finished.
