Lovely Jasperware vase, a tall oval shape, holding a child, and a handle on one side of this asymmetrical shape. The base is surrounded by a foliate element, and the rim is accented with a border of rosettes. The vase stands approximately 8" tall and is approx.3" wide. on one side and 2" across. The handle has been reattached at some point as you can see in the close up. Otherwise, condition is good. There is no mark on the base. Several English manufacturing companies other than Wedgwood made jasperware though which one did this is unknown. Another possibility is Volkstedt who produced a lot of Jasperware, and is especially note for plaques.
