Print of Aus A. Hendschel's Sketchbook Drawing Mounted on Cover Stock

Charming print from a German artist's sketchbook showing a group of children riding on a push cart along a country road. The artist is Aus A. Hendschel, and apparently his 19th century sketchbook contained 30 such drawings, all tipped in plates. The information underneath the drawing which gives the artist's name and the source, is as follows: Verlag von F.A.C. Prestel in Frankfurt A.M. (on the left side) and Photographie von Th. Huth in Frankfurt A.M. (on the right side). The page itself is 12 x 9" and the image is 6.5" x 5". Condition is good with some wear to the stock mounting but none to the print itself. The artist has hidden his initials in the grass alongside the roadway (A.H. 69) which would indicate that he drew this sketch in 1869. That date jibes with information found on the internet concerning this work by Hendschel.
