Striking figural study of a Southeast Asian woman with an elaborate necklace and other silver ornaments. The portrait is done outdoors, capturing a mountainous background, and what appears to be bamboo fencing in the foreground. The study is executed on artist board. The painting is framed in wood with a metal spacer between it and the canvas. On the back is gallery information. It appears that the piece was shown in a gallery in Bangkok, Thailand, and displays a small label on the back with this information. There are four of these painting, each depicting Southeastern Asian women in village costumes of the hill tribes of Northern Thailand and bordering countries. These will be listed separately. The image size of this piece is 16" x 23" and the framed size is 20" x 28". Condition is very good to excellent. The piece is signed by the artist.
