Sasha Brastoff Marbleized Vase, Pink and Gold Swirl Glaze
Having recently purchased and then sold a Sasha Brastoff coffee pot with the identical glaze as this onion-shaped vase, I feel confident in describing it as Sasha Brastoff even though it is not marked. The California artist's glazes were so distinctive that there is no mistaking them. This charming little vase has two ends that are gathered and raised, and joined at the top and the result is what looks like a stylized onion. The glaze is a combination of gold and pink swirled together over the white ceramic body of the base. The glaze decorates the entire surface of the piece, not just the exterior. Interior and base are equally decorated. Size of this eye-catching retro piece is 7" high and approx. 6" wide. Width is 5.25. Condition is excellent.
