Beautiful covered vegetable by CFH/GDM Limoges, France with a white porcelain body and a pattern of orange-red poppies accented with gold finial and rims on the lid and base of the container. This exceptional piece was produced by the prestigious Charles Field Haviland, part of family of Haviland porcelain makers who founded the CFH firm in 1870 and later acquired other firms including Gerard, Dufraisseix & Morel and later still, GDA Gerard, Dufraisseix & Abbot. Haviland wares are noted for their beauty. This one has some wear to the gold and to the little poppy flowers that decorate it but still a lovely, affordable piece with quite a history to bring to your table. Size of this piece is approx. 11" long, 7.5" wide and about 6" high. Condition is good.
