Pre-WWII Selb, Bavaria, Black Knight Plate, C.M. Hutschenreuther Porcelain Factory, Floral Center, Floral Border

This lovely dinner plate with a scalloped rim depicts a flowering tree or bush with large pinkish red blossoms filling the center of the plate and is surrounded by a border of sprays of smaller blossoms. The plate is approx. 9.5" in diameter and in excellent condition with a gold rim intact. The plate is marked Selb, Bavaria, on the back and shows a black knight on a steed. This mark is that of C. M. Hutschenreuther Porcelain Factory, Hohenberg, Bavaria (W.. Germany). This mark was used from 1925 to 1941 according to Kovels New Dictionary of Marks.
