Reticulated Silverplated Potpourri w Pierced Lid, Cobalt Liner

Very elaborately constructed potpourri with a cobalt glass liner. This is a pot metal container, I believe, though it is aged to a dull patina and really looks as if it should be this color. The frame of the potpourri sits on four little feet and the body is formed by an upper and lower circle of metal, supported by column designs accented with rosette forms all around the circumference of the piece with garlands of flower shapes connecting the columns. The lid is reticulated as well, and the design echos that of the base frame. Size of this unusual and lovely piece is 3.5" high and 3.25" in diameter. Condition is good. No chips on the glass or cracks. The frame may need a good cleaning. My age guesstimate on this piece is approximately 80+ years old. I think it dates to the 1920s.
