Fabulous Clear Crystal Cut Glass Compote w Lid, Pedestal Base

An elegant, covered, clear crystal compote with a dome-shaped lid and acorn motif finial, square pedestal, stepped base, and deep and elaborately cut crystal exterior with both diamond and fan cuts. This commanding piece stands 11" tall and would make a wonderful container for holiday syllabub or perhaps on your mantel, filled with colored ornaments. The weight of this piece is approx. 10 lbs. so please be aware that shipping outside the U.S. would be very expensive and probably not a good idea. All year 'round, it is a striking accessory appropriate anywhere in your interior where a touch of classic elegance is desired. Since all paper labels are gone, the piece has no marks, and the piece came from an estate out of Athens, GA, I am unsure of the age. Guessing, I would say 1950s. This fine piece has been well-preserved. Even the rims where the top and base fit together are smooth and unchipped.
