Mounted on board, this hand-colored French engraving on a heavy cream paper shows the plate mark and is in good condition. The image itself depicts rabbits grazing on a hill over a small pond filled with rushes. Ducks and ducklings fill the foreground and several other appear to be descending into the back water. In the distance, an ibis can be seen. The writing underneath the image is as follows: Dedie a Monseigneur Le Baron de Nagel(line one) Chambellan de S.A.S.E. de Cologne de Vornsholtz Nichoff Grand Drossard de Stromberg Seigneur de Calenberg & & (lines two and three) Tire du Cabinet de M. LeBrun Peintre. Par son tres humble Serviteur Jac Ph. Le Bas premier Graveur de Cabinet du Roy.
The print is in good condition; just needs to be reframed. There is a tape mark at the top which is in the margin above the plate and there is a scuff on the lower margin also not affecting the plate. Size of the print overall is 12.25" wide and 16.5" long. The image size is somewhat smaller.
