19th C. Liqueur Cabinet & Bottles, Ivory on Burl Wood Veneer

This elegant and exceptional liqueur cabinet probably was one of the most decorative and expensive of its era. A rich brown burl wood veneer is accented with ivory designed to look like the strapping on a strong box that contained an estate's wealth. A few pieces of ivory have been lost as they are brittle with age. The interior holds a delicate set of crystal liqueur bottles and glasses. Sides and lid are hinged, and the front of the cabinet lifts up and folds back to reveal the interior. Inside is a wooden carrying caddie holding a set of four, etched crystal liqueur bottles and glasses, etched with a grape and vine motif. All stoppers are intact and there are no broken pieces. This is a large cabinet, approx. 10.25" high, 13" long and 9.5" deep. As mentioned, some of the ivory pieces have broken off but these could be replaced.

Sorry, this item cannot be shipped to California due to recent changes in that state's laws concerning ivory purchases.
