Rudolstadt Porcelain Strawberry Teapot ca. 1916

Rudolstadt, Germany, made this porcelain teapot molded as a delicious ripe strawberry. The lid is a strawberry shape as is the finial. Bright summer green leaves and white flowers highlight the rows of red strawberries.

A plump but graceful teapot, it measures 6 1/4" high to the top of the strawberry finial and 6" diameter. The width from handle to spout is 8 3/4". The mark is a green double eagle holding a shield and Germany under the mark which dates it to approximately 1916.

The condition is very good with no loss of color, no chips nor cracks.

Look for the two matching tea cups and saucers listed elsewhere in my shop.
