The Adams Rose hand painted 10 1/2 inch plate is close to being a charger in size. It was made between 1829 and 1861. Based on the colors in this plate, I estimate it was made 1830-40. The flowers are a deep ruby red and the foliage is a solid grass green.
The scalloped edge has a raised beaded border. There are minor frit marks and glaze pooling along the border. The early manufacturing process would often include frit and coal specks in the glaze. The overall condition is very good.
The back of the plate has the impressed ADAMS mark and two pieces of frit.
