The Adams Rose hand painted 9 inch dinner plate was made between 1829 and 1861. Based on the colors in this plate, I estimate it was made 1830-40. The flowers are a deep ruby red and the foliage is a solid grass green.
The scalloped edge has a raised beaded border. There are tiny pinholes in the glaze on the front . One has some discoloration the edge shown in the enlarged photo. The early manufacture would often include frit and coal specks in the glaze. The back has a 1/4 inch chip on the base ring which shows discoloration in the photo. The overall condition is still very good.
The back of the plate has the impressed ADAMS mark.
