Bohemian Art Nouveau Gilt-Enamel Cranberry Ruby Art Glass Bowl ca 1900
The rim of the bowl has faceted cuttings inside the rim. The sinuous gold curves down four quadrants contrasts with the ruby color. The bowl measures 4 1/2" high by 4 3/4" diameter at its widest and 2 5/8" at the mouth. There are no chips, flakes nor cracks. There is minor gold loss along the shoulder which I originally thought was part of the design. I have added pictures which show the outside rim of the bowl has a small area where the gold is worn. The gold design is outlined with a thin line of yellow enamel. This is a very eye-catching piece.
