Translucent like a butterfly's wing, this delicate plate is done in a pale powder blue glaze. There is the slightest hint of a darker blue color in the leaves which climb the wall. The mold has six raised panels of scrolls around the scalloped rim and the plate is 8 3/4" in diameter.
The pattern name is "Copenhagen" and the shape and mold of the plate is the "Tilly" series. The back of the plate has the Rosenthal green mark of a crown over two crossed lines and R. C. It also has the words :Tilly" and "Copenhagen" and dates to the 1898-1907 period.
There are no flaws to this exquisite piece of fine porcelain. It has obviously received excellent care in its 100 years of existence.
