Rosenthal Bavaria Porcelain Copenhagen Tilly Blue Cherub Cabinet Plate c. 1900
In this Rosenthal porcelain cabinet plate, a curly haired cherub sits on a stone wall while playing with a butterfly. Translucent like a butterfly's wing, this delicate plate is done in a pale powder blue glaze. There is the slightest hint of a darker blue color in the leaves which climb the wall. The mold has six raised panels of scrolls around the scalloped rim and the plate is 8 3/4" in diameter.
